Secrets of the female soul in the Art Nouveau style in the pictures of the Moscow artist

Women artists, as a rule, always bring something unique, extraordinary and refined into the history of art. So the female soul is arranged, there is both a riddle, and fragility, and an incredible power of creation. Today I would like to turn to the creative work of the Moscow artist Irina Kotova, and with her eyes show the amazing transformation of the surrounding world through the art nouveau style.

Each picture of Irina is an original combination of modern lyricism and picturesque modernity, where there is nothing superfluous – everything is laconic, bright and stylish. The unusually refined heroines of the artist’s canvases, like aliens, attract the viewer and carry them to the fantastic sensual world of dreams and mysticism.

The color scale, which is very subtle and harmoniously selected for each work, as well as the stylization of images and objects, made the author’s handwriting by Irina Kot recognizable and unique.

For reference: Modern is a trend in applied art, as well as in the architecture of the late 19th – early 20th century. The main feature of which lies in the constructiveness, purity of lines, conciseness and integrity of forms. Modernity does not have sharp corners and well-defined straight lines, they are very smooth and curved, very close to the natural forms of the plant world.

Irina Kotova (1979) is a native of the city of Zagorsk, now Sergiev Posad, near Moscow. From childhood, the girl began to paint under the impression of the picturesque works of famous classics. In elementary school, attended art studio, then there was an art school and the Abramtsevo Art and Industrial College. V.M. Vasnetsov. And finally – St. Petersburg State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. A.I. Repin.

During her studies, she was repeatedly awarded by the attestation commission of the faculty of painting, and in 2006, by decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Arts, she was awarded a gold medal for successful studies. Irina Kotova often participated in contests and won prizes, and also exhibited her creations along with the works of already established masters.

The first exhibition for each artist is a very exciting event, because everyone can be offended by the artist, but not every master can accept this. Irina also experienced this burning moment in her life and now remembers him with a smile: “I remember that this was the 1997 exhibition“ Autumn Marathon ”. The first picture in public, the first significant work, fervent criticism and boisterous praise. This is a breath of fresh air. Inside, everything exploded, but the inner voice whispered softly, come on, Ira, you all can. Probably everyone experiences such emotions after his debut. ”

Works of Irina Kotova are very popular in the printing industry. Thanks to the latest technology, they are transferred to the fabric from which they sew exclusive items. As well as reproductions of her works are distributed in huge editions in the form of various posters, postcards and calendars.

And the original paintings of Irina today diverge in private domestic collections, as well as abroad – in France, Germany, USA, Japan and other countries of the world, increasing the fame and success of the young artist.

Continuing the theme of female painting, delightful fabulous work of Nadezhda Ilyina in the style of fantasy – artists from St. Petersburg.
